The rocks, roots, and riffles of our local Baltimore rivers are rife with benthic macroinvertebrate life, better known as water bugs! These tiny creatures are a big indicator of waterway health. Join Blue Water Baltimore staff to explore a local stream, search for and identify benthic macroinvertebrates, and learn about types of pollution that can affect their — and our– environment.
Note: Please complete the registration form for each attendee, including those under 18. All attendees are required to complete a waiver, and all attendees under 18 must have a paper waiver signed by a parent or guardian. Instructions for completing the waivers will be emailed to you after registering. Please be sure to review this email before the event. All attendees under 18 must be accompanied by a chaperone on the day of the event.
