Projects and Programs
Our programs and projects focus on ways to get local residents, neighborhoods, and communities involved in our work.
Our Programs and Projects
Baltimore Harbor Waterkeeper
Baltimore Harbor Waterkeeper monitors water quality, organizes cleanups, advocates for government responsibility, and takes legal action.
Herring Run Nursery
Herring Run Nursery sells native trees, shrubs, flowers, and grasses to help reduce pollution.
One Water Partnership
One Water Partnership (formerly Blue Water Congregations) works with faith congregations to identify and implement pollution reduction projects.
Projects include rain gardens, removing impervious surfaces, planting trees, installing rain barrels, and educating parishioners.
Deep Blue
Deep Blue engages targeted neighborhoods representing a diverse mix of under-served communities. Deep Blue seeks to comprehensively address stormwater, greening, and targeted public health goals in each area.
Community Forestry
Our Community Forestry program increases Baltimore’s tree canopy reducing and filtering stormwater runoff, improving air quality, and increasing wildlife habitat.
Storm Drain Art
Our Storm Drain Art program stencils drains to inform the public that everything that enters a storm drain flows untreated into a nearby waterway.
