Event Series Event Series: Tree Planting in Belair-Edison
a group of people standing around a newly planted tree

April 27 @ 9:00 am 12:00 pm

Get your hands dirty for clean water and a greener Baltimore! Join Blue Water Baltimore staff as we plant street trees in the Belair-Edison and 4×4 Communities along Belair Rd. Novice volunteers and expert TreeKeepers alike are welcome to attend. Our tree planting projects are rain or shine, and we recommend closed-toed shoes and clothing that is appropriate for the weather and getting dirty. Hats, sunblock, and sunglasses are strongly encouraged. We ask volunteers to bring a reusable water bottle to reduce our waste. Street tree plantings are best suited for youth of middle school age and older.

Breakfast will be provided starting at 8:30a by the Lumberjack Club of Catholic High School. Pizza will be served after we complete the planting from Michael’s delicious pizza.

Project partners include Northeast Housing Institute Inc., Belair-Edison Community Association and the Belair-Edison Neighborhoods, Inc.

Funding provided by the Chesapeake Bay Trust as part of the Maryland 5 million trees initiative, National Fish and Wildlife Foundation and Baltimore City Recreation and Parks TreeBaltimore program of the Forestry Division.
