Volunteers are needed to help us complete the Village of 12 Trees bioswale. The construction was completed by BWB’s own restoration team in February 2024 to help residents with flooding. The bioswale filters the runoff thru is soil and plant roots to remove pollution and slow down flooding.
We need 20 volunteers to help us plant 897 native plants in the bioswale. This project treats 0.17 acres of the rooftop and pavement around their community pool and clubhouse. Its a highly visible project and the plants will really shine and be seen often during the summer when its most used.
It’s a great way to help your neighbors and improve water quality downstream by eliminating runoff. Please dress to get dirty and sweaty. Bring a water bottle. Open to experienced gardeners and those new to planting plants. Donuts and coffee will be provided.
