West Towson Tree Planting

Get your hands dirty for clean water and a greener West Towson! Join Blue Water Baltimore and West Towson/Southland Hills residents for a volunteer tree planting along the streets and yards of the neighborhood! We will be planting over 40 trees to increase tree canopy.

We’ll meet as a group to plant an open space gateway location and then break up into small teams to plant the residential yard trees. This may involve walking or shuttling in different cars to close-by locations.  First timers, student groups and families welcome.  And please let us know if you are a Baltimore TreeKeeper!

Our tree planting projects are rain or shine, so be sure to dress appropriately for the weather. Wear clothes and sturdy (closed-toe) shoes that you don’t mind getting dirty or wet. Please bring a water bottle. We will provide the trees, gloves, tools, and training!

This project is supported by Baltimore County Department of Environmental Protection and Sustainability and the Maryland Department of Natural Resources.
