Project Clean Stream 2015

Project Clean Stream is the biggest day of stream cleanups in the Chesapeake Bay watershed!

So pull on your waders, grab a trash bag, and head out to your neighborhood stream as part of this annual cleanup event held across Maryland and the Chesapeake Bay region. In 2014, over 1,000 volunteers removed nearly 50,000 pounds of trash from 47 sites in Baltimore!

There are two great ways to volunteer!

  • START A CLEANUP. We are looking for volunteer site captains! As a cleanup leader, you will coordinate a local clean up effort in your neighborhood, favorite park or local waterway. Never done this before? No worries: we’ll help you out at every step.  Just fill out the “Start A Cleanup” form and you are on your way!
  • FIND A CLEANUP. Not up for leading a cleanup? Join other volunteers at one of the dozens of stream locations in Baltimore by signing up using the “Find A Cleanup” form.

Whichever way you choose to get involved, you will be making a real difference in the health of our streams.
