Pollution Reporting 101: Herring Run Nursery

Join Blue Water Baltimore’s water quality scientist at Herring Run Nursery to learn what kinds of pollutants are entering our streams and Harbor, how they’re getting there in the first place, and what you can do to fight it. You will learn how to identify illicit discharges, who to report pollution to, and how to engage your community in restoration events.

Attending this training will make you eligible to participate in Outfall Screening Blitz (OSB) events, in which teams of citizen scientists take water quality samples from stormwater outfalls and analyze them to see what’s really polluting our waterways.

This event is done in partnership with the Smithsonian InstitutionWater/Ways Exhibition, the Historical Society of Baltimore County, and Maryland Humanities.
