Belair-Edison Community Street Tree Planting

Volunteers Wanted

Get your hands dirty for clean water and a greener Belair-Edison Neighborhood! Join Blue Water Baltimore and Belair-Edison residents for a volunteer tree planting along the streets near Sinclair Lane Elementary School! Help us kickoff the start to a project that will plant over 300 trees along 1.2 miles of streets.  On Saturday, we will plant over 100 trees to kickoff this project.

We’ll meet as a group to plant close to the school and then break up into small teams to plant the adjacent blocks. Volunteers will learn how to plant bare-root trees in previous dug holes. This may involve walking or shuttling in different cars to close-by locations. First timers, student groups and families welcome. And please let us know if you are a Baltimore TreeKeeper!

Our tree planting projects are rain or shine, so be sure to dress appropriately for the weather. Wear clothes and sturdy (closed-toe) shoes that you don’t mind getting dirty or wet. There will be snacks and a light lunch afterwards. Please bring a water bottle to reduce plastic waste. We will provide the trees, gloves, tools, training, and lots of fun!
