Join Blue Water Baltimore for a morning full of informative and hands-on activities in partnership with Friends of Herring Run Park! articipants will learn about of the relationship between stormwater runoff, urban infrastructure, and our local, natural spaces. This event includes an informal “walk-&-talk”, a trash clean-up, and a hunt for benthic macroinvertebrates aka water-bugs in the . In addition to the cleanup, this event will include a benthic macroinvertebrate (aka aquatic bugs) hunt at 10am down in the stream, and then a brief “walk & talk” about our infrastructure history, its ongoing issues, and our role as Waterkeepers at 11am. Both of these smaller events are optional for the attendees, and are meant to highlight the reasons we hold events like trash cleanups to protect our waterways. We hope you can join us for this special event!
Note: Please complete the registration form for each attendee, including those under 18. All attendees under 18 must be accompanied by a chaperone on the day of the event.
