St. Philip’s Evangelical Lutheran Church GSI planting

In partnership with St. Philip’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, Blue Water Baltimore has installed a new bioretention system on the church lawn. Designed in the shape of a fish, this unique bioretention area will capture and treat more than 1,500 gallons of stormwater runoff from the church roof and surrounding property. Altogether, the system manages runoff from nearly 5,000 square feet of drainage area, including 1,380 square feet of impervious surface. We need volunteers to help us install 300 native plants and pollinator friendly species that will help absorb stormwater and transform the new bioretention area into a thriving landscape!

Please complete the registration form for each attendee, including those under 18. All attendees are required to complete a waiver, and all attendees under 18 must have a paper waiver signed by a parent or guardian. Instructions for completing the waivers will be emailed to you after registering. Please be sure to review this email before the event. All attendees under 18 must be accompanied by a chaperone on the day of the event.
