Saint Gabriel’s Catholic Church has partnered, once again, with BWB to complete the construction of phase two of the parking lot bioswale! The project’s goal is to filter and store stormwater locally, reducing downstream flooding in the Gwynns Falls watershed. The Saint Gabriel’s project treats an area of 1.242 (0.579 impervious) acres. The project can filter roughly 16,300 gallons of stormwater before reaching our underground stormwater infrastructure and eventually: Gwynns Falls. The project needs volunteers to assist in planting over 250 native species!
This event is presented in partnership with Watershed Public Charter School. Per Baltimore County Public School rules, adult volunteers will have to take a 15-minute online training before they attend the event.
