September 25 @ 11:00 am – 2:00 pm
Please join Blue Water Baltimore and the Prince of Peace Lutheran Church Congregation in planting their newly installed (by BWB’s own construction team) bioswale and raingardens. These facilities treat a combined 1.00 acres of drain area, of which 0.53 acres are impervious surface coverage. The infrastructures contain over 850 native plants! We need your help and look forward to seeing you!
Please be prepared for working outdoors. We recommend closed-toed shoes and clothing that is appropriate for the weather and able to get dirty. Hats and sunglasses are strongly encouraged. We will provide work gloves and hand tools, but feel free to bring your own if you prefer. We ask volunteers also bring a reusable water bottle to reduce our waste.
Note: Please complete the registration form for each attendee, including those under 18. All attendees are required to complete a waiver, and all attendees under 18 must have a paper waiver signed by a parent or guardian. Instructions for completing the waivers will be emailed to you after registering. Please be sure to review this email before the event. This planting is best suited for youths in middle school or above.
