Please join Blue Water Baltimore and the Eden Korean United Methodist Church to maintain their native gardens installed by BWB’s construction team. Blue Water Baltimore (BWB) and the Master Gardeners of Baltimore (MGB) are partnering to perform maintenance and re-mulching at the Eden Korean United Methodist Church. The site is home to three rain gardens, one conservation landscaping area, and a large bioretention facility. The site treats over an acre or stormwater runoff. Please join BWB and the EKUMC for a wonderful day of maintenance at one of our many green stormwater infrastructure sites. We need your help mulching and weeding. We hope to see you there!
Join us at 2p to celebrate the completing of this project with partners. We will be serving refreshments and providing tours of the gardens that reduce pollution going to Jones Falls.
Maintenance Event: Please register below for the maintenance event
Please be prepared for working outdoors. We recommend closed-toed shoes and clothing that is appropriate for the weather and able to get dirty. Hats and sunglasses are strongly encouraged. We will provide work gloves and hand tools, but feel free to bring your own if you prefer. We ask volunteers also bring a reusable water bottle to reduce our waste.
Note: Please complete the registration form for each attendee, including those under 18. All attendees are required to complete a waiver, and all attendees under 18 must have a paper waiver signed by a parent or guardian. Instructions for completing the waivers will be emailed to you after registering. Please be sure to review this email before the event. This planting is best suited for youths in middle school or above.
