Get your hands dirty for clean water and a greener Baltimore! Join Blue Water Baltimore staff as we plant trees in yards and along the streets of a the Ruxton-Riderwood Neighborhood of Towson. Volunteers new to planting trees and expert TreeKeepers alike are welcome to attend. This tree planting will be in neighbors yards, you will be led by a BWB staff, TreeKeeper, Watershielder in small groups throughout the neighborhood. If you have a vehicle (car/wagon/or truck) that can transport people and/or tools please let staff know. We will begin with a tree planting training and overview of BWB and the project.
Our tree planting projects are rain or shine, and we recommend closed-toed shoes and clothing that is appropriate for the weather and getting dirty. Hats, sunblock, and sunglasses are strongly encouraged. We ask volunteers to bring a reusable water bottle to reduce waste. We provide work gloves, hand tools, and snacks but feel free to bring your own if you prefer.
Note: Please complete the registration form for each attendee, including those under 18. All attendees are required to complete a waiver, and all attendees under 18 must have a paper waiver signed by a parent or guardian. Instructions for completing the waivers will be emailed to you after registering. Please be sure to review this email before the event. Our tree plantings are best suited for youths in middle school or above.
