MDE Listening Session on Sewage Backups

Monday, September 30, 2019 • 6:00 pm8:00 pm

A sewer overflow discharging brown sewage into a local waterway.

Sewage doesn’t belong in our streets – or our homes! Speak out at the Maryland Department of the Environment’s (MDE’s) upcoming listening session on sewage backups.

Have you had sewage back up into your home in Baltimore City? Are you worried that if might happen to you? Do you want to hold Baltimore City accountable for helping your neighbors and communities when they happen? This will be your opportunity to voice your experiences, concerns, and ideas!

Representatives from MDE and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) will be in attendance. Comments made at the listening session will help MDE and the EPA understand how the city can better assist residents with sewer backups.
