What are Resilience Authorities? Webinar

Thursday, June 2 • 12:30 pm1:30 pm

During this webinar, we’ll learn from leaders across Maryland who are spearheading the creation of local resilience authorities in response to the climate crisis. In 2020, the Maryland General Assembly passed SB457 to enable local jurisdictions to form resilience authorities to aid in the financing of resilience infrastructure projects. Charles County and Anne Arundel County have been the first to create RAs under the state law. We want Baltimore to be next!

Join this lunchtime webinar to learn more about resilience authorities and the role they can play in our region’s response to climate change from an expert panel:

-State Senator Sarah Elfreth, lead sponsor of SB457

-Deborah Carpenter, Director/ Chair, Charles County Resilience Authority

-Dan Nees, Interim Executive Director of the Resilience Authority of Annapolis and Anne Arundel County
