Last Chance to Make a Difference for Baltimore’s Waterways in 2024
A clean and thriving Baltimore starts with people like you. Thanks to your incredible support, this year has seen progress for Baltimore’s waterways.
Together, we’ve:
Engaged over 250 youth and adults through programming, including our It’s Alive! aquatic bug hunt, What’s in Your Water community science program, Outfall Screening Blitzes, and trash-clean-ups.
Sampled our routine monitoring stations (49 in total) 785 times this year, collecting 1,285 samples that provided 5,103 data points, all available on our BaltimoreWaterWatch.org.
Gave away nearly 1,000 free trees to Baltimore City and County residents, helping to expand the existing tree canopy to help slow and filtrate stormwater to prevent nutrients and sediments from polluting our waterways and p.
But our work isn’t done. As the year draws to a close, Baltimore’s waterways still face pressing challenges that demand immediate action. With just a few days left in 2024, your support is more crucial than ever to help us meet our year-end goals and ensure a healthier, cleaner future.
