Earth Day 2016

April is Earth Month, and at Blue Water Baltimore we are honoring Earth Day with activities that focus on green practices all month long and beyond. Earth Day is more than just a single day — April 22, 2016 — so join us this year and help provide a direct environmental impact in Baltimore by making Earth Day each day.

Make Each Day an Earth Day

Find and Eliminate Pollution

Each day Blue Water Baltimore is out patrolling and protecting, making Earth Day everyday. On Tuesday April 19, while doing an outfall screening, Blue Water Baltimore encountered a stormwater outfall that was discharging raw sewage into the Stony Run stream. You can help us report overflows like this by learning how to identify pollution at an Outfall Screening Blitz training.

Holistic Programs that Help Improve Water Quality

Blue Water Baltimore’s purpose is to use community based restoration, advocacy, and education to achieve clean water in the Baltimore watersheds. Much of our work is around cleaning up communities, planting trees, and other greening practices. Each year we increase the scope of our program work in order to reach more neighborhoods, residents, and volunteers.
